Objective: 

The course will enable the students to describe figures, objects, and environments using line, value, and pattern, demonstrate proficiency in classical and experimental drawing techniques, render objects with light and shadow, and apply these skills using various media and formats while understanding layout basics and typography

Graphic Illustration- IV (Practical)

CO80: Create detailed sketches and layouts for the illustration project taken from the market

 

CO81: Compose a professional portfolio of illustrations with relevant text according to promotional requirements. The methods & techniques of illustration with different colours and surfaces, including the submission of low-relief designs for installation art.

 

CO82: Develop the ability to effectively communicate the purpose of illustrations and its use in design visually and effectively present the work to foster collaboration & teamwork and establish herself as an illustrator

 

CO83: Contribute effectively in course-specific interaction

Approach in teaching: Interactive Lectures, Discussion,

Ideation, Tutorials, Assignments, Brainstorming, Demonstration

 

Learning activities for the students: Self-Learning Assignments, Giving Tasks, Visualization, Experimenting, Sketching to Learn, Free Exploration, Focused Exploration.

Layouts & Sketches, Continuous Assessment Test, Semester End  Examinations, Daily Assignments, Observation, Student Teacher Interaction and Final Submissions

 

COURSE CONTENT:

  1. Students will undertake at least two major illustration projects and execute them according to the market trend, they will also learn about the reproduction processes of the same. Students will be free to take market work, but prepare under the supervision of a class teacher.
  2. Submission: - Two major projects consist of ten illustrations each project of 10”x15” size.
