Objective: 

The course will enable the students to handle the medium to create hollow, relief and 3 D sculptures of a theme selected after observing, analysing, interpreting a variety of subjects, using tools and methods, learn to bake the created art work in a kiln as terracotta.

CO12: Compile knowledge to handle clay with different techniques to create a relief and 3D objects and try to apply while practicing the process during the teaching hours before making final works

 

CO13: Create compositions or art works for terracotta, have hands on experience to understand kiln, process of firing and other technicalities associated with to create terracotta.

  

CO14: Demonstrate the gained skill through creating a composition or a piece of art according to the learnt techniques and process.

 

CO15:  Justify her attained skills of composition and medium developed by arguing and answering questions by the expert in viva-voce.

 

CO16: Contribute effectively in course- specific interaction.

COURSE CONTENT:

Preparation of clay for creating a terracotta, handling of the prepared clay, understanding the process of making a terracotta , temperature, time set for baking in a kiln.
